The initial stage of the construction of any capital structure begins with the installation of the foundation, since the life of the building will depend on its strength. For the foundation, only the most durable and high -quality materials are used, so laying the foundation will cost a considerable amount. That is why for serious work (for example, for the construction of a large house) it is better to hire professionals on the site . For a small building, you can fill the foundation yourself, guided by the following instructions:
First you need to mark the area for the future foundation.
Work is carried out using fishing line and pieces of reinforcement. You can mark strictly in size, or you can let several centimeters on digging trenches. You need to mark not only internal and external boundaries, but also outline the places where the internal partitions will be located (there will be the stiffness of the foundation).
Digging a pit and trenches.
Before digging the trenches, you need to once again check the correctness of the marking. After the trenches are dug, you can do the pit. When the pit is ready, it will be necessary to align it horizontally, and the bottom is filled with sand (constantly watering it with water and tamping it with special boards). This sand pillow must be made perfectly even, like the bottom of the pit.
At this stage, you need to install the formwork.
When installing the formwork, you need to ensure that it is higher than the level of concrete filling. The shields should be firmly connected, and the walls of the formwork are hardened by spacers. All these preparatory work will facilitate the filling of concrete. The bottom of the trench should be sent in pieces of bricks and indicate the level to which the cement mortar will be poured.
The reinforcement of the foundation
The foundation is strengthened using reinforcement. The thicker the metal rods and the more often they are located, the stronger the foundation will be, so each owner decides how to reinforce the foundation.
Preparation of the basement for ventilation holes and communication systems.
The basement needs ventilation, so you need to attach pipes to reinforcement and fill them with sand. If you plan to bring various communications to the building, you need to think in advance in which place to leave a place for them.
The preparatory work is completed on this, and you can already start directly to pour the cement mixture, which is poured to the intended level.
