Glued timber – modern ecological material, devoid of most disadvantages of ordinary wood. It consists of wooden plates, eliminated from defects, carefully dried and glued together. The glue used to fasten them is environmental friendliness, resistance of the connection, immunity to moisture, and it also does not create obstacles to natural air exchange. In appearance, such a beam does not differ much from the usual, on the other hand, it gets rid of its characteristic minuses, simultaneously acquiring many advantages.
Unlike a conventional log or profiled beam, glued is not afraid of deformations, and the house from it does not give shrinkage. The walls of this material are not covered with cracks and do not lead with time, including as a result of constant sharp changes in humidity. The responsible installation of industrial equipment must be performed by a qualified specialist. The shrinkage is completely absent for the reason that the material is carefully dried during the manufacture process. The surface of the beam is impregnated with anti -pires that make it resistant to fire. At the same time, bars perfectly fit each other, which avoids the need for additional hemp.
There are relatively few disadvantages in glued beams, and certainly less than other solutions based on the use of organic raw materials. Its main disadvantage is a fairly high cost due to the complexity and complexity of its manufacture in the factory. Due to the active use of antiseptics, impregnation, antipyrene and glue, such a beam is less environmentally friendly than ordinary. It is worth noting that at the same time it still does not become harmful.
