One of the main stages in external decoration of houses is facades cladding. In the past few years, a basement siding began to be used quite often – a material by means of which you can not only decorate the outer part of the house, but also protect the facade of the building from aggressive environmental impacts. Despite the name, basement siding can be used to finish the whole house entirely, not only from the internal, but also from the outside.
What is a basement siding?
Basement siding are panels made from vinyl. The drawing applied to them resembles a brick or natural stone. The panels are not at all sensitive to the aggressive effects of ultraviolet rays or moisture, they will withstand the temperature from -50 to 50 ° C without any problems, and thanks to special additives that provide plasticity, they can stretch or contract without problems. Throughout the time of operation, the time of which is 50 years, the panels do not need additional coating. Thanks to the lightness of basement siding, it does not create any additional loads on the construction of the building.
One of the most common varieties of this material is a basement siding in the form of a stone that has many different shapes and colors. In addition, there is a basement in the form of bricks of different shades. During the installation of the panels, joints remain almost invisible, which can create a feeling of whole faces cladding. The disadvantages of this finishing material include a relatively large consumption with ordinary siding – this is due to a special panel fastening system with each other.
When purchasing basement panels in Smolensk, you must look at the party number indicated on the packaging, because the same color in different batches may be slightly different.
Basement siding, which has the size of the panels, usually 50×120 cm, is attached to the crate. If it is planned to mount the material, including on the facade of the building, then the house is best additionally insulated – this procedure is carried out similarly as when decorating ordinary siding.
In the process of fixing siding on the base of the house, the crate must be made from metal guides, because wooden in this situation will not last long.
